Glad to see you here! My name is Trey Baucom, I own and drive the BPM #93 Dirt Latemodel. I currently live in Concord NC with my wife Michelle, son Matt, and daughter Ashley. With the help of my wonderful wife , Matt, and Ashley, we have made this a family affair. Late in the 2007 season we added Mark Canaday to our racing family as a general helper and his contributions made a great difference, so I say thanks to everyone for each part they do! I started my racing career in 2001 with a pure stock four cylinder car at East Lincoln Speedway in Stanley NC. I was able to get two wins in that first season and many top 5's. 2002 was a "part-time" year that we ran the first car we built at East Lincoln and Carolina Speedway in Gastonia NC in the modified four division. 2003 was the year of change, the first half of the year we ran our modified four at Carolina Speedway and Cherokee Super Speedway in Gaffney SC. Then in September of '03 we made our Latemodel debut at Cherokee in the "Crate" Latemodel division. 2004 was our first full time year in the Latemodel and it paid off with many top five finishes which netted us third in the points championships at Cherokee. 2005 we took our "Crate" car to I-77 Speedway in Chester SC and competed against the more powerful "Limited" Latemodels, which had us at an 300 HP deficit, but we were able to get a best of third place and several top fives. That effort gave us 5th in the points championships, very good to be so under-powered! 2006 was a challenging year at best. We bought our first "Limited" Latemodel and had to get used to the extra power the car had to offer. We started off well and then just a few weeks into the season our motor broke and that parked us for several weeks for repairs. Our home track was I-77 Speedway and we also traveled to Lancaster Speedway in Lancaster SC two times where in early August we were involved in a crash that left the car in bad shape that we were unable to repair in time for seasons end. 2007 our home track was Carolina Speedway, another challenging year, experienced motor trouble early on, and other mishaps on the track got us off to a rough start, but we finished out the season strong and are looking forward to next season! 2008..................To be continued!
